Artist Bio:
Curtis
Bogan
Curtis Bogan was born in Fresno, CA. and
raised in a camp town called Big Creek hidden in the High Sierras
between Yosemite and Sequoia/Kings Canyon National Parks. In 1990 he was
honorably discharged from the United States Air Force where he began
much of his traveling.
In
1985 Curtis was stationed at Eielson AFB, in Alaska's Tanana Valley,
where he began capturing breathtaking landscape and wildlife imagery.
For the next 20 years he traveled extensively in Alaska, the Pacific
Northwest, the Sierras, and the Southwest's deserts. During the late
1980's through the early 1990's Curtis made his home between Alaska and
the Seattle Area. Curtis spent the summer of 1993 in Dutch Harbor,
Alaska. Since September of 1993 he resides in Las Vegas, Nevada...the
Entertainment Capital of the World.
Since 1985 Curtis has produced over 2,200 photographs which many are
made into limited and open edition prints. Curtis began showing his work
at local art shows in Las Vegas.
Curtis is currently working on abstract oil paintings, mixed media, and
black and white composition photography. His selection of works range
from subject matter to nude models (non pornographic). Within the next
several months he will be placing his new work on display.
Curtis is currently living in Las Vegas and spends his summers up in
Seattle. He currently spends much of his time with his two dogs and
travels on many road trips throughout the summer months and the holiday
season. |
